Jessica joined Abl because she believes master scheduling can lay the foundation for strategic and systemic change. As a struggling reader inspired by the dedicated teachers who helped her succeed, Jessica always had a dream of paying it forward. After relocating from Southern California to the Bay Area to attend University of California at Berkeley, Jessica earned her undergraduate degree in Ethnic Studies and graduate degree in Urban Education. Shortly after college, Jessica became an elementary school teacher in Oakland, California, spending most of her time teaching young students how to read. Wanting to expand her impact on education, she left the classroom and entered the EdTech space at IXL Learning. In her spare time, Jessica can be found teaching a fitness class on the Peninsula, volunteering as a crisis counselor, or watching repeat episodes of Law and Order.
